The neighborhood is zoned to only allow structures that are no more than seven stories high and was built in 1963. There are 6 residential floors, with six units on each floor for a total of 36 units. The construction is reinforced concrete designed to withstand hurricanes. The landscaping and gardens include a koi pond, a variety of palms and other tropical plants, shaded benches in the Bay side garden, and a large pool with lounges and tables with umbrellas on the Gulf side of the building. The newly renovated club room and all common spaces provide a fresh, modern feel for owners and guests. Gulf Towers has a full time live in manager and is governed by a board of five owners.
